If an Institution is Regionally Accredited, Does That Apply to the Online Degrees?

Yes, if an institution is regionally accredited, that applies to all of their programs, on-campus and online. When they begin a new distance or online learning program, accredited institutions seek approval from their accrediting agency because such an activity is a substantive change to their academic offerings. In addition, both online and on-campus programs are reviewed in the regular accreditation visits. This doesn't necessarily hold for all specialized accreditations, though, which are generally disciplinary-specific rather than applying to the whole university. A university may have an ABA-accredited law school, for example, and this accreditation doesn't automatically extend to their liberal arts programs.
