Master of Science in Nursing
Harris School of Nursing offers a Master of Science in Nursing that prepares Adult (Medical-Surgical) Clinical Nurse Specialists. The program prepares nurses who have earned either an associate degree in nursing or a baccalaureate degree in nursing for the advanced practice role. The program requires completion of 40 hours of coursework comprised of 31.5 semester hours of didactic and 8.5 semester hours (510 clock hours) of clinical practicum.
The Harris School of Nursing offers an innovative Master of Science in Nursing. The degree has two tracks, ADN-MSN and BSN-MSN. The specialty area and role focus is Clinical Nurse Specialist - Adult Nursing (Medical-Surgical). All didactic coursework will be offered online. CNS preceptors near the student's home will usually supervise clinical courses. Concentrated clinical experiences will be offered in the Fort Worth area.
