Through Southeastern, you’ll benefit from our more than 70-year track record of training men and women to perform every aspect of church ministry, missions, and evangelism. In our ministerial leadership major, you’ll not only study foundational subjects such as theology and church history but you’ll also specialize in your particular calling.
In the ministerial leadership major itself, you’ll develop a solid foundation in all of ministry, including biblical interpretation, counseling, and preaching. All students who complete this program will also satisfy the education requirements for credentialing within the Assemblies of God. Our faculty have decades of practical ministry experience and are committed to sharing their knowledge and passion for ministry with you and your classmates. Among the topics and courses that our faculty will cover are the following:
- Theology of God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit
- Pastoral theology
- Organizational behavior and leadership styles
- Pastoral counseling

All of our online courses are offered in eight-week periods through our MyFire online portal. Faculty members will communicate with you through email and discussion boards, where you will also interact with fellow students to enhance your learning. If you take the program at night or on weekends, you will have class one night per week for the eight-week session with one weekend class during that time.
