M.Ed. Student Affairs
The Master of Education in Student Affairs program is designed to provide advanced training for higher education student affairs professionals. The program is tailored specifically to meet the unique challenges faced by career counselors, residence life directors, orientation supervisors, admissions administrators, financial aid officers, or other student affairs professionals. The program focuses on the legal and business aspects of higher education, history and contemporary issues in higher education, development of the adult learner, strategic planning, and program evaluation.
The Master of Education in Student Affairs program will prepare you for positions such as career counselor, residence life director, orientation supervisor, admissions administrator, financial aid officer, or other student affairs related positions.
Upon completion of the M.Ed. in Student Affairs program, you will understand more about the students you serve and the higher education environment. You will be able to foster character formation, provide servant leadership to college students, and promote values-based personal development.
Master's in Student Affairs graduates will be able to:
- Attend to the developmental needs of the student that influence maturation and academic achievement.
- Use Biblical principles to encourage character formation.
- Understand the higher education landscape and processes important in building successful student service programs
