B.S. in Nursing
Completion provides the RN with an associate degree an opportunity to complete their Bachelor of Science degree. The curriculum focuses on the professional and leadership roles of the BS-prepared nurse. As students come from varying school backgrounds, the program of completion is individualized. This online 125-credit program adds associate degree credits to a combination of nursing, cognate and genreal education courses. Students can transfer up to 37 credits of GE/cognate courses and 31 credits of lower division nursing credits, leaving only 57 credits to take. The program allows students to take between 7 and 16 credits per semester, depending on the chosen track. Math and nursing courses follow a fixed sequence, but the general education courses can be taken in an adjustable order depending on the chosen track. The full-time track of 13-16 credits per semester enables the student to complete the degree in four semesters, and he part-time track of 7-13 credits per semester enables students to finish the degree in six semesters. Generals do not need to be taken in the suggested order.
