The intent of Baker's Guide to Christian Distance Education is to assist students and faculty interested in Christian distance education by making information freely available online. However, I often get requests from people looking for some one-on-one consultation to help them find a suitable online learning degree program. I'm happy to offer such consulting, with the following caveats:

  • I offer individual educational consulting as a free service to prospective online learners as time permits. Therefore, despite my best efforts, I cannot promise that I will be able to respond to all requests.

  • My recommendations will be limited to accredited schools. However, I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have about unaccredited schools as appropriate.

  • My recommendations are based on my research into Christian and secular distance education programs, many of which are cataloged in the Christian Distance Learning Degree and Program Directory. Please search through this free online directory before asking whether there are any Christian degree offerings in a particular field.

  • I do believe that it's important, however, to mention my involvement with various distance learning programs. Therefore, for the record, I'm a Professor at Regent University (where I also earned my Ph.D.) and I earned my M.A. from The George Washington University. I recently resumed my seminary studies and am enrolled in the M.A. in Religion program at Reformed Theological Seminary. In the past I've also taken distance courses from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and Jones International University and served as an online instructor for courses offered by The George Washington University, Regent University, and Jones International University. Furthermore, I've done some consulting work with Christian University GlobalNet, Reformed Theological Seminary, and Regent University in the area of distance learning. I think highly of all these institutions, hence my involvement with them, and will be happy to share my experiences upon request.
