Tech Company Making Online Education Better

Tech company 2tor, an online education provider, wants to raise the standards for online education. John Katzman, founder of 2tor and the Princeton Review, believes online education can be the impetus for real change in higher education.  According to an article in Tech Crunch, Katzman's new company 2tor will focus on making online education as a natural extension from the traditional classroom.

In this article, Katzman explains how 2tor will effectively change online higher education. He envisions online education moving away from the limited communication model similar to the classroom lecture. For online education to work well, students would view the lecture and have the opportunity to discuss the lecture and materials with the professor with the other students. Students would be able to attend the discussion via mobile computing software developed by 2tor. 2Tor already has several prestigious universities including both UNC and Georgetown launching new online degree programs using 2tor's online education platform.
