A Professor at the University of Michigan, Perry Samson, has designed a software that changes the way students interact in a classroom. The software, Lecture Tools, allows for students to ask & answer questions anonymously, as well as mark up lecture slides all through the use of their laptops.
Professor Samson started using this software 5 years ago and it is currently being used by 30 other professors at Michigan. English, political science, and nursing instructors are the ones that use the software the most. This type of software dynamically changes the way that students interact & engage in a classroom setting. The software is currently available for free & about 400 instructors from various universities have Lecture Tools accounts.
