The University of Zululand offers master's and doctoral programs by thesis. As with many international programs, particularly those on the graduate level, these degrees are earned primarily through research and writing-based rather than via coursework. Of particular interest are graduate programs offered by the Faculty of Theology and Religion Studies, including an M.A. in Biblical Studies, Ph.D. in Biblical Studies, Master of Theology (M.Th.) and Doctor of Theology (D.Th.) degrees.
