Prescott College is an independent, liberal arts college offering bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as teacher certification. Our educational programs reflect the College's commitment to the environment and social justice. Prescott College offers three programs for students of all ages and backgrounds. Students can live and study for an undergraduate degree in Prescott (Resident Degree Program), complete their undergraduate degree through our degree completion program (Adult Degree Program), or earn their master's degree through our limited residency graduate program (Master of Arts Program). Students can also pursue a Teaching Certificate through any program. Whatever program is right for you, you will find that Prescott College is a supportive and flexible environment where students are empowered to design their own education. Students succeed at Prescott College for many reasons:
Prescott College offers all students a diverse curriculum designed to encourage pursuit of interests across disciplinary lines. At Prescott College, "learning by doing" is as important as reading and discussing. The curriculum is flexible to meet the needs of every student. Our Resident Degree Program is enhanced by a strong learning community that allows for connections and personal relationships with faculty and mentors. Many courses involve a strong field component. Internships, independent studies, apprenticeships, and study abroad are strongly encouraged. Students studying through one of our limited residency programs (the B.A. Degree Completion Program or Master of Arts Program) will find that their home communities are ideal classrooms. Students study with community advisors and mentors, supported by faculty in Prescott. Distance students maintain professional and personal lives and do not need to relocate to Prescott while earning their degree. In addition to the main campus in Prescott, the College operates a branch campus in Tucson. The Tucson Center serves students residing in Tucson and other southern Arizona communities. The Center is a meeting place for students, faculty, and advisors and provides opportunities for students in similar study areas to meet and discuss their work.
