The London School of Theology (formerly London Bible College) is an interdenominational evangelical institution in England.  Distance learners can take LST Open Learning courses for credit towards a College award, or you can use some of them for credit in the Open Theological College BA in Theology. London Bible College also offers its seminar-based Master of Arts in Aspects of Biblical Interpretation by distance. LST also offers Middlesex University-validated MPhil and PhD research programs on a limited residency basis. Research is a vital part of our integrated programme of preparing Christian leaders?both those of the future and those already in service. We offer three different research degrees: Master of Theology (MTh), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), each of which may be taken full- or part-time. It is possible to study from outside the UK, but you will still need to spend some periods of time here during your study. More details will be provided when you apply. The purpose of a research degree is to establish and demonstrate competence in the individual theological discipline in which your thesis is being submitted. Your discoveries will contribute not only to your personal growth but also to the broader academic community worldwide, which you will be serving. If you would prefer to follow a set programme of study at postgraduate level, you might want to choose our MA in Aspects of Biblical Interpretation.
