The B.A. in Religion was established to provide a general major in religion, equivalent to a major in any other liberal arts area (e.g. English, math, history). It may be used by students interested in becoming Bible workers and teachers of religion, or in preparing for graduate school or law school. A student with a degree in religion may go to a seminary, but this major does not require many of the practical courses designed to prepare a student for the gospel ministry.
