Most courses may be taken for either 2 or 3 credit hours, with additional work assigned for the additional credit. Course descriptions and assignments may be obtained ahead of time by contacting FBTS. Please register early for these classes. A Master of Arts degree may be obtained through taking the module classes.

This major has been designed so that the person who has a basic grasp of Bible doctrine may build on that foundation and gain a greater understanding of and appreciation for the greatness of God and His revelation to man. This program examines theology from the viewpoints of what the Bible teaches, what has been a doctrine's historical development, what have been the various denominational formulations of that doctrine, and what are the various emphases and viewpoints currently being held today.

A minimum of 30 semester hours of Bible and Theology at the undergraduate level, or their equivalent, is required prior to seeking admission to the M.A. degree program with a major in Pastoral Studies, Biblical Studies, or Theological Studies. This Bible/Theology background is not required for admission to the Master of Arts in Religion or Master of Divinity degree programs.

A grade average of 3.0 or higher is expected in one?s undergraduate work.

Up to six hours of transfer graduate credit may be applied with approval of the faculty.
