Modules are courses that meet for one-week (Monday through Friday). These one-week classes cover material normally given throughout a semester, but now the material is given in concentrated form. Most courses may be taken for either 2 or 3 credit hours, with additional work assigned for the additional credit. Course descriptions and assignments may be obtained ahead of time by contacting FBTS. Please register early for these classes. A Master of Arts degree may be obtained through taking the module classes.

This major offers advanced work for graduates of accredited Bible colleges. The purpose of the program is to build upon the education of those who have already taken a college major in Pastoral Studies and related biblical subjects. It stresses the importance of the application of material gained on the undergraduate level.
A minimum of 30 semester hours of Bible and Theology at the undergraduate level, or their equivalent, is required prior to seeking admission to the M.A. degree program with a major in Pastoral Studies, Biblical Studies, or Theological Studies. This Bible/Theology background is not required for admission to the Master of Arts in Religion or Master of Divinity degree programs.
A grade average of 3.0 or higher is expected in one?s undergraduate work.
At least two semesters of homiletics and an apprenticeship program should normally have been a part of the undergraduate experience for those entering the M.A. program with a major in Pastoral Studies. The apprenticeship requirement may be satisfied by the completion of an apprenticeship program with an approved pastor, missionary, or church (with approval, this requirement could be completed after admission), full-time or part-time ministry, or other practical Christian work (a detailed description must be submitted in writing to the faculty).
Up to six hours of transfer graduate credit may be applied with approval of the faculty.
