The Cape Town Baptist Seminary's Mission is simply to prepare men and women for the Christian ministry.

Our vision is to make theological education available to every person in South Africa who feels called to some form of ministry. The Seminary seeks to ensure that churches are served by pastors who are adequately equipped for all aspects of ministry including Youth and Children's Ministry and that those entering into the mission field receive the best possible theological preparation to face the challenges of spreading the good news.

Formerly The Baptist Theological College of South Africa, Cape Town, this institution is affiliated with the Baptist Union of South Africa. They offer the opportunity to engage in non-resident, University of Pretoria validated Ph.D. programs. However, because it is a small college, opportunities for supervision are quite limited.
