Abilene Christian University's Online Master of Education (M.Ed.) programs are 36-39 hour programs designed to prepare you for professional careers in a broad range of education settings.

Faith-based in approach, the Master of Education programs consist of six core courses. Depending on your area of interest, you will take an additional four to five courses and an internship to complete your degree.

Graduate programs offered include:

  • Curriculum and Instruction
    The M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction prepares you to collaboratively design and implement curriculum using learning theories and learner-centered instruction as the foundation. This program prepares you for positions such as curriculum director, secondary or elementary education director, instructional facilitator or other instructional leadership positions. The degree could also benefit you by fulfilling requirements to earn a graduate degree for continued employment.

  • Leadership of Learning
    The M.Ed. in Leadership of Learning prepares you to be an educational leader who promotes instruction in safe and productive learning environments. The program’s unique emphasis on conflict resolution equips you with relevant skills critical for handling conflict and incorporating peacemaking into your daily routine. This program prepares you for leadership roles such as principal, department chair, lead teacher, or supervisor.

  • Special Education
    The M.Ed. in Special Education prepares you to design and deliver teaching and other educational services to children or adults with special learning needs or disabilities. This program increases your expertise and is appropriate for those seeking to add a special education credential to a teaching certificate. The degree could also benefit you by fulfilling requirements to earn a graduate degree for continued employment.
