eLearning Opening Doors in Africa

Posted by: Anahid

MediaGlobal has reported that through the use of mobile phones, people in Africa have the opportunity to learn and expand their education. In most parts of Africa classroom education is not easily accessible, but technology is changing that through eLearning. Although laptops are still not very easy to acquire, mobile phones are and make it possible for such learning.

The ICWE (International Conferences, Workshops, & Exhibits), in teaming up with eLearning Africa (ELA), will be holding a conference on May 26-28 in the Zambian City of Lusaka. The conference will focus on using "technology-enhanced learning across the continent." Having this type of education system available in Africa can open up the doors for training more teachers and improving the overall education system in Africa.
